Anusara-inspired Yoga integrates a heart-oriented spiritual philosophy, biomechanical alignment of the body and balanced energetic action. This practice invites us to align with our innate goodness, health, strength and purpose, on the yoga mat and in our daily lives.

Yoga Therapeutics with Carolyn is an Anusara-inspired workshop teaching precise alignment and techniques to relieve discomfort or pain and help to heal injuries.

Vinyasa Yoga blends an eclectic array of yoga styles and practices. Wisdom and experience combine to create a class that incorporates a balanced flow of postures with an emphasis on connecting conscious breath with conscious movement.

Kripalu Yoga is a unique way to integrate body, mind and spirit through opening to inner wisdom. The class will guide you through a centering, breath control, warm-ups, postures and a final relaxation. Your practice will cultivate courage, balance, contentment, mindfulness, playfulness and harmony. No prior yoga experience necessary.

Beginner Series with Carolyn. Introduces the foundations of yoga practice – breath, posture and concentration; attitude, alignment and action. Those new to yoga, as well as those living with pain and/or injuries will learn new methods for enhancing health and vitality. No experience necessary.

Slow Yoga. Just beginning? Beginning again after some time away? Welcome to Sansea's class! This Slow Yoga class gives you a chance to breathe fully and stretch deeply, as you build strength, stamina, and poise. This class is a gentle practice with long warming sequences. We establish good foundations in breath and alignment. We move in a measured flow, each person modifying the practice individually according to flexibility and age. Sansea offers guidance in alignment; this supports making wise moves as we learn asana (poses). Instruction in pranayama (breathing techniques) teaches mindfulness while it increases vitality. Laughter, props, assists, and music guide our practice as we cultivate health and peaceful body/mind. Wear loose, layered clothing without zippers or buttons; we practice barefoot. To begin, there will be a short meditation, and a quiet relaxation pose to finish. Bring socks and a covering for your comfort.

Yoga Dance is a unique combination of the traditions of yoga and expressive movement. Inspired by Kripalu DansKinetics and infused with world music,  yoga dance is an energizing form of dance, accessible for all ages, body types and abilities.  Sometimes ecstatic and filled with wild abandon, other times a more inward journey, yoga dance allows you to engage in a centering and dynamic experience.

Shambhava Hatha Yoga is a expression of ancient practices which transforms awareness by harmonizing the body, breath, and mind to have fun and bring us back in touch with our source of joy, energy, and health. Open to all levels, Shambhava Yoga opens the heart and uplifts the spirit.

Yoga for Cyclists. Due to the posture of cycling, many cyclists experience pain in the neck, upper back and lower back, and symptoms of lower back stress: tight hamstrings, quadriceps and hips. Practicing specific yoga poses will help increase flexibility to chronically tight muscles, build strength and endurance, balance the body and reduce the risk of injury. By incorporating breathing, cycling-specific yoga poses and relaxation techniques, we’ll improve our performance on the road and beyond.

Chakra Yoga. Along the spine are seven major energy centers of the body. Described as whirling energy disks, each chakra links to the endocrine system and corresponding emotional and spiritual center. Wellness of the entire organism is fostered as we explore the sensations, emotions, beliefs and color images that arise in each chakra. Meditation and specific asanas focus our attention on increasing the vitality of each chakra.

Kids' Yoga. K-3rd grade This class will focus on combining yoga postures with creative movement, games, stories and meditation that are both energy releasing and calming. The 45-minute class will promote self-confidence, awareness and community building.

4th-6th grade In this class kids will learn more flowing yoga postures that will be linked together to develop strength, flexibility, and the mind & body relationship. This creative 45-minute class will be rich in promoting self-confidence and community building.

Tai Ji Quan. This is a mixed-level class for all interested in the benefits of Tai Ji (or Tai Chi). No experience is necessary. In Tai Ji there is no discrimination between beginner and expert. Everyone follows the same way. Our focus will be on the study and practice of the ancient Chinese mystical art known as Tai Ji (The Great Polarity). Seeking the union of movement and rest, thought and action, grace and vigor, cause and effect, and everything else that otherwise opposes, this subtle and profound method gives both a whole body exercise and an integral approach to living. The applications are truly infinite. We will cover all the essentials of the Tai Ji formula in this ongoing class, from slow set and qigong, to push hands and Chinese medicine. Come any time. Curiosity is always welcome.

Yoga for Kayakers focuses on increasing flexibility, strength, confidence and breathing in order to enhance your paddling experience. This practice will help you to be calm yet alert when conditions get hairy. We will also focus on postures that will help your kayak rolling ability, whether you can roll with ease or have never rolled a kayak.

Yoga for Skiers. The biggest benefit yoga can bring to your skiing is injury prevention. This yoga workshop is designed to increase strength and endurance and introduce flexibility to chronically tight muscles. There will be a strong focus on the lower body; ankles, knees and hips, and core muscle groups through a dynamic series of postures and controlled breathing.

Yoga for Teens will enhance all aspects of your life as a teenager. Develop strength and flexibility in the body and mind. Heal old injuries and prevent new ones. Learn tools to strengthen the mind’s ability to concentrate, to remember, to think, as well as to be still. Observe how tension in your body and mind affects your life – physically, socially, and academically. Practice acceptance of yourself and others.

Breathing & Meditation provides the time and space to breathe and be still. Correct breathing tempers many of our common aches, pains and misalignments. Conscious breathing guides us into the present moment, easing stress. Deep breathing allows us access to more subtle aspects of ourselves – body, mind and spirit. The breath is a path to inner peace and calm, where we can take ourselves less seriously and live life fully. No experience necessary.

Private Yoga Sessions. Meet one-on-one to address specific questions and individual needs. Deepen your understanding of yoga and embody the teachings as they relate to you.
